FlexiTV

The FlexiTV software demodulation-based platform delivers the most cost effective global standards broadcast receiver.

FlexiTV combines Mirics’ silicon front-end (MSi3101), with Mirics’ processor-efficient demodulator algorithms. FlexiTV’s algorithms replicate the complete functionality of silicon demodulators (such as OFDM demodulation and error correction).

All major broadcast standards can be supported by the FlexiTV platform, including:

Analog radio AM, FM
Digital radio DAB, DAB+, DMB-A, DRM, HD Radio
Analog TV PAL, NTSC
Digital TV ATSC, DTTB, DVB-T, ISDB-T
Mobile TV ATSC-M/H, CMMB, ISDB-T, T-DMB
Cable TV ClearQAM Cable, DVB-C

The FlexiTV platform exceeds all relevant broadcast and industry compliance requirements (such as NorDig and USB-IF), delivering a robust solution to meet the strictest of OEM and ODM quality expectations.

The MSi3101 is Mirics’ first FlexiTV silicon front-end. The MSi3101 provides RF signal tuning (leveragingMirics’ FlexiRF architecture), and USB2.0 output connectivity. Mirics is developing a family of MSi3xxx FlexiTV front-ends to support various digital interfaces optimized for other device platforms and applications.
